Read and matched to places on the handset. Never uploaded, never sold.

To group the shots by the place you took them in.

Thumbnails are generated on the phone. Originals never leave it, and none are attached to a shared card unless you attach them.

What
Permission to post one notification in the morning.
Why
So “Your night is ready” arrives at the time you choose — and nothing arrives during the night.
Where it goes
Scheduled locally by the app. No push server, so no account and no device token.
PaymentsOn-device
What
The payment alerts your banking apps already post, or amounts you add by hand.
Why
To total what the night cost without connecting a bank account.
Where it goes
Parsed on the handset. There is no bank connection, no card number and no login anywhere in this.

Each permission is requested the first time the matching part of the recap is built, not at install. Decline all four and the app still opens — it just has nothing to show.

Why we built it

The phone already knew.

I kept waking up on a Saturday having to reconstruct the night out of a flat battery and four group chats. Which bar was second? Who did I ring at half one? What did all that cost?

The phone had the answers the whole time — the photos, the route, the card taps, the calls. It just never put them in one place.

So that is the entire app. It reads what your phone already recorded and assembles one calm screen while you are still finding the kettle. Nothing to log during the night, because nobody does that. No feed, no friends list, no scores. Nothing leaves the handset unless you choose to share the Recap Card, and then it is totals only.

It is not finished. Android comes first and iOS follows, and the dates on this page are targets rather than promises. Join the waitlist and you will get one email on the day it is live.

Frequently asked questions.

Does NightRewind track me?

No. It reads the record your phone already keeps — location history, photo metadata, payment notifications and contacts — and assembles it into a recap on the device. It adds no tracking of its own.

Do you see my night?

No. Processing happens on the handset. Cloud backup is opt-in and off by default, and nothing is shared with third parties at any point.

What is in the route map?

Your stops in order, the path between them, whether each leg was walked or driven, plus distance and time. It is generated from your own location history and never leaves the phone unless you share the card.

What does the Recap Card share?

Aggregate figures only — counts and totals. No addresses, no contact details, no photos, unless you attach them yourself.

Which devices are supported?

Android first, then iOS. Both dates are targets rather than promises while the app is in development — join the waitlist and we will tell you the day it is live.
